Our cook Ate Mel boiled three packs of Magnolia chicken breasts with fresh onion & ginger to remove the "lansa."
I asked her to chop the chicken and set aside the broth. Then I melted a mixture of Dari Creme and butter, and sautéed the onions, garlic and celery. I added the chopped cabbage, carrots, and beans. My cookware is Saladmaster and somehow the natural moisture from the veggies comes out!
We added the chicken and I flavored everything with a combination of white and black pepper and Thai patis.
Then I added evaporated milk. I like Alpine. (We used 3 cans).
Then I added the cooked elbow macaroni (we used Fiesta).
Then the chicken broth and six more cups of water with two packs of Maggi Magic Sabaw. It is optional to put Vienna sausages or hotdogs but I don't like the broth turning pink. I cooked a lot! This batch could easily serve 20 people.
Enjoy! Special thanks to Pokey for the recipe!
